The M49 software is compatible with Windows® 7, Vista, and XP, as well as Mac OSX 10.04. For Windows, these include a MIDI driver and Editing software. For the Macintosh, only the Editing software is required.

Quartet Driver for Windows® 7, Vista, and XP Updated
SIMS Corp., a leading worldwide provider of digital musical instruments, has updated the driver for its flagship PCI Audio Interface, the Infrasonic Quartet. The driver is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows® 7, Vista, and XP and fixes several issues in the control panel.
Issues resoved include noise when the WDM application is closed, a conflict with the keyboard Enter key, ASIO routing in FREE MIXER, and clearing of the buffer.

Original UFO Mic Receives New Case and Joins Infrasonic Brand with New UFO#(sharp)
SIMS Corp. has announced that the JamMate UFO Microphone will now be available under the Infrasonic brand. Under the Infrasonic brand, the UFO has the same features except for a thicker body that helps protect against electrical noise, as well as a silver finish (replacing the original black matte finish).

New Windy6 Downloads Include Firmware Update and New Block Diagram Control Panel
SIMS Corp, a leading worldwide producer of digital musical products has released the driver version 4.40 and Firmware Upgrade version 7962 for the Windy6 audio interface.
Installation Overview
First, update the Windy6 firmware via the Firewire port connection between the PC and Windy6. Mac users can upgrade the Windy6 firmware in Windows mode or on a separate Windows PC.
Second, install the software: PC users will install both the driver and control panel. Mac users need only install the new control panel.
Following these updates, Windy6 users have access to two control panels: a "Mechanical" version and a "Block Diagram" version. Both are actual GUIs used to control the interface.
The Mechanical Control Panel version has the familiar look of previous Windy6 control panels, and is modeled after a physical device. The goal is ease-of-use.
The Block Diagram Control Panel provides a live view the Windy6 circuitry. Not only can Windy6 owners better understand the signal paths between internal components by viewing them in operation, they can even move the components and control them through the Block Diagram view.

New Windy6 Driver to Include Firmware Update and New Block Diagram Control Panel
SIMS Audio, a leading worldwide producer of digital musical products has announced a new driver for the Windy6 which is scheduled for release next week.
The new driver will include an update for the firmware.
According to SIMS Audio, after downloading the driver customers will be able to update the firmware themselves via the Firewire port connection between the PC and Windy6.
In an effort to help customers to gain the most from the Windy6 Firewire Audio Interface, SIMS Audio has updated the control panels to include two versions: a "Mechanical" version and a "Block Diagram" version. Both are actual GUIs used to control the interface.
The Mechanical Control Panel version has the familiar look of previous Windy6 control panels, and is modeled after a physical device. The goal is ease-of-use.
The Block Diagram Control Panel provides a live view the Windy6 circuitry. Not only can Windy6 owners better understand the signal paths between internal components by viewing them in operation, they can even move the components and control them through the Block Diagram view.
The new driver will be made available via the download section of the Infrasonic Web site, at http://www.infra-sonic.com, late next week.

New Driver for Infrasonic Quartet PCI Audio Interface Adds V-Balanced Input / Output
SIMS Audio, a leading worldwide provider of digital musical instruments, is pleased to announce the release of V-Balanced Input / Output (I/O) for the INFRASONIC Quartet.
V-Balanced I/O allows Quartet to be used as a balanced 2-in/2-out interface, and is available in Quartet driver version 1.18.4. With earlier drivers the Quartet functioned only as an unbalanced 4-in/4-out interface.
V-Balanced I/O is a World-First technology developed by the award winning Infrasonic development team to provide Balanced Signal capability to certain Infrasonic products, such as the Infrasonic Quartet. The user can now select the I/O-type by simply clicking the "Balanced Link" button of the driver control panel.
V-Balanced signal uses Reversed Phase Theory to avoid HUM or RF noise that comes from signal transfer through cable. The domain of Pro-Audio equipment, balanced signals are essential in situations prone to noise or audio distortion, such as distance signal transfer through long cables.

Infrasonic Releases Innovative New Blow4D Digital Monitors
Incheon, November 6th, 2008 – INFRASONIC, leading worldwide providers of digital musical instruments is proud to introduce our newest product, the BLOW4D digital/analog monitors. These monitors include onboard D/A conversion (featuring Burr Brown op amps), room compensation controls, and a low frequency response switch.
Our BLOW4D monitors feature on-board D/A converters (Burr Brown DSD1796). The monitors support up to a 24-bit/192kHz sample format and have a dynamic range of 123dB (The highest quality of industrial specification). Apple reports that the MacBook Pro has a power supply defect on its 6-pin firewire port. Please see the information provided below if your MacBook Pro is failing to recognize bus-powered FireWire devices such as the INFRASONIC DeuX.
MacBook Pro: What to do if bus-powered FireWire devices does not appear in menus or behave correctly.
Your MacBook Pro may not recognize your FireWire device properly—it doesn't appear in menus, it's not recognized or it doesn't behave properly.
If you find this to be the case, the device probably came with an external power supply, and is demanding more power that the FireWire standard provides through the bus. This issue can also appear if a number of FireWire devices are plugged in to the same bus and demand more power than the bus provides.
(Bus-powered devices derive their power from a source on the bus to which they are attached. Self-powered devices come with an AC adapter and plug into a wall socket for power as well as into the computer.)
Be sure always to use the power supply if one came with a FireWire product. If you are connecting more than one device, use a self-powered FireWire hub or switch.
MacBook Pro computers supply 1.5 Amps of power at 12 Volts. One port may provide up to 14 Watts of power if nothing is connected to the other port. If both ports are in use, their maximum power output is 7 Watts per port.

Samick Innovative Music System (SIMS) exhibited at one of the biggest music shows, MusikMesse in Frankfurt, Germany. In this 2008 MusikMesse, SIMS opened booth with our Germany distributor, M3C, in order to support our new distributor and to become more familiar with European market.
We can say this MusikMesse is the most successful one among those shows SIMS did recently, Music China, NAMM and MusikMesse, New distribution contracts are made in Northern Europe and Western Europe, including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Netherland, France and etc. And many dealers from Germany, the biggest audio market in Europe, want to get the SIMS products in their product inventory.

We are attending NAMM Show 2008 and this is the latest update for first day of SIMS in NAMM Show.
SIMS Audio got a lot of attention from the very beginning, because SIMS got full coverage in the "UpBeat Daily", the official news magazine of NAMM Show. We surely see our reputation becomes higher than ever, because of the coverage in "Music Trade", the famous media magazine.
Our meeting room was full of potential business partners, and they had to wait for the meeting. Even more than 20 buyers came to our booth at a time after lunch.
In the afternoon, Daniel Haver, the CEO of Native Instruments, visited our booth and showed high impression and interest on our products. He played our CDP-1, piano with USB capability, with Akoustik Piano, the piano software from Native Instruments. Mr. Haver praised our product lines as "The Future of Instruments".
Mr. Haver requested meeting at the booth and discussed many things with SIMS Audio. He said Native Instruments sold the products to SIMS before, but now NI should buy from SIMS. He claims that it will have big impacts in worldwide market and nice combination for more musicians, if NI’s software and SIMS’ hardware join together.

SIMS Audio Releases The Primus a25 Midi/Usb Controller
Nashville, TN, December 12th, 2007:
SIMS Audio, a leading worldwide producer of digital musical products is proud to introduce the PRIMUS a25 MIDI/USB controller. This device contains a 25 key MIDI/USB 2.0 keyboard controller and an audio interface featuring microphone and line inputs all inside the keyboard’s chassis. This makes the PRIMUS a complete portable recording studio. A large bundle of demo software from Native Instruments is also included.
The PRIMUS is USB 2.0 bus powered and features a direct monitoring switch for latency free monitoring. Latency is the delay caused by the time it takes for audio to flow thru the computer and out of the speakers. The size is compact enough to allow complete portability so it is ideal for studio or location recording work. The PRIMUS has pitch bend and modulation wheels, eight assignable MIDI controller knobs and encoders, and five editable internal user banks.
In addition to the hardware, a bundle of demo software from Native Instruments including B4II (tone wheel organ simulator) Pro53 (Prophet 5 simulator), FM8 (FM synth) and Battery 3 (drums sampler) is included with the PRIMUS. This bundle allows the user to choose from a large library of different keyboard and percussion sounds straight out of the package. The PRIMUS will be available in the first quarter of 2008.

SIMS Audio Releases Innovative New BlOW5D Digital Monitors
Nashville, TN, November 15th, 2007-SIMS Audio and INFRA-SONIC, leading worldwide providers of digital musical instruments are proud to introduce our newest product, the BLOW5D digital/analog monitors. These monitors include onboard D/A conversion (featuring Burr Brown op amps), room compensation controls, and a low frequency response switch.
Our BLOW5D monitors feature on-board D/A converters that are constructed with Brown Burr op amps. The monitors support up to a 24-bit/192kHz sample format and have a dynamic range of 123dB. The BLOW5Ds can accept a wide variety of inputs including: SPDIF, RCA, AES/EBU, XLR, TRS, or TS.
In addition to the onboard D/A conversion, the BLOW5Ds feature room compensation controls and a bass response switch. The room compensation controls (accessible via a switch on the back of the unit) allow the user to alter the frequency response of the monitors to better suit any room. The bass reduction switch allows bass frequencies to be reduced to better accommodate the use of a subwoofer or a bass heavy mixing environment.
With their compact size, innovative features, and high quality sound, the BLOW5Ds are a perfect match for any studio environment, whether it is professional or home.
