Hi, The Amon card hangs eacht time I try to change the volume in the Control Panel. I am using the Amon card for 2 years without problem into my old machine: INtel Pentium IV 2,8 HT Gibagyte 8IP1000 rev 1 Kingstom 2.5 GB memory dual channel HDD Samsung 1TB Windows XP professional x86 SP1/sp2/sp3 Now I bought a new machine: INTEL I7 2600K Gigabyte z68xp-ud3 Kingston Hyper 1600 Hz 8GB dual channel HDD WD 1.5 TB Green WIndows 7 Professional x64 SP1 INFRASONIC_AMON_2.8.40_beta Driver XP/Vista/Windows7(64bit) INFRASONIC AMON Control Pannel v1.04(NEW) The same problem happens when I try to change the Latency into the Amon Asio Config Panel. I need to restar the machine to recover the sound card. The on board Realtec audio card is disabled at Bios configuration and I have no other sound drivers installed than the Amon for windos7 x64. The last driver for the AMON card is a Beta version. Are you thinking in release a final version to be used in WINDOWS7 x64? If you need any materials to study this problem I can sent it by mail. Dear Daniel, Thank you for contacting us and for your patience. I'm sorry to hear about this inconvenience using AMON. Your Z68XP-UD3 motherboard is equipped with 2 USB 3.0 ports on the back panel, which are marked with blue color in the middle of the port. Those are controlled by an Etron chip, please avoid using them with AMON. The onboard intel USB ports are prefered, which are marked with red color. hi, yes this card is not compatible with USB 3.0 (the blue ones). I plugged it in each of the eight red usb 2.0 ports with the same result. it hangs when I try to change the volume level in the AMON control panel. Taking a look in the event monitor it show a software compatibility error. The actual driver for windows 7 x64 is a Beta version. Are you planing to release any new drivers and/or control panel for windows 7 or the future 8? thanks for your help. daniel. |

I made a new test, i think that the problem is in the CtlAmon.exe. After change the volume level it hangs, then I close the program by task manager and restarting the CtlAmon.exe the Amon card restarts working . It is a trouble shoot but not a solution. The CtlAmon.exe is an x86 program, Are you thinking to release the x64 version of this program? thank for your help. daniel. |
