Hi, Balint, again I have recorded some screenshots and sounds after reboots, some setting changes. As you can see, I have tested IN 1/2 recording over WDM applications. I have always different record results: no sound, strange reverberated sound, perfect sound, strange digital noise and so on. You can see sound files in the zip archive. http://www.trancein.com/quartet_bugs.zip How I did these tests: I did recorded screenshots, recorded audio, then I tried to make some changes, or did reboot. Then I recorded new screenshots and sounds to show you the next random(!!!) results. You can look some comments in the screenshots. Applications tested: standard windows recorder on Windows 7 x64, Streamosaur, Reaper x64. Also I have this bug in Skype, but I cannot show you the bug. It is the same as recording over windows recorder, or Streamosaur. My friend have the same strange sound as I get over any WDM recording software. So it is not a network issuis on skype. And not issues on Streamosaur. All software I used to record over WDM have the same results. Why I need a WDM recording? It is because I want to use skype and sometimes I use my computers as a dictophone, using Streamosaur - a good and simple software to record audio over WDM. Why I use external microphone amplifier? It is because I cannot use Quartet microphone amplifier due problems with motherboard's CPU power. I get scratches with recording. Balint know this problem. We have some emailing here in tickets some months ago. And I cannot replace my Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard, because it costs over $400 - I see no better MB in the market. Also my Quartet works fine on other motherboards. But my Asus CPU power scheme sends some impulses (as I understand) over PCI slots, so Quartet microphone amplifier stabilization scheme cannot smooth them. So I visited ebay and get a nice microphone amplifier with own power. So now I can use microphone recording. Please do not point me to check my amplifier. It works fine. I can hear perfect sound in monitoring and while recording over ASIO. I have included some record results to show you my hardware is in perfect state. When I created these test I found some additional bugs: 1. I used 1.24.04b two days and get these days two blue screens: first arter some clicks on your new mixer. And one today while testing. I get a new blue screen after close Reaper x64 ASIO settings dialog. 2. I tried to use 1.23.07, but it has no ASIO 64 bit driver, so I cannot use my software. But I have included WDM recording using this driver version to show you the problem, too. So now I use 1.23.04 - it has ASIO working, and I have no blue screen. So, now I cannot use 1.23.04, 1.23.07 and 1.24.04b to record my microphone in WDM. I cannot use 1.24.04b, because I have blue screens I cannot use 1.23.07, because it has no ASIO 64 bit. My system is Intel i7-based computer and Windows 7 x64 Home Premium. I need 64-bit system here, so please do not point me to install 32 bit or install Windows XP. I have no any problems to use this system with Quartet in my home studio and for typical sound tasks. But now I want to use skype and microphone. 《Re》Balint 님 , Hi, testing the new driver v1.24.04 beta: Bugs (?): No 88.2KHz in panel now. Why? I use it, a lot. Auto sample rate works, but it don't show the change in panel. -- Thinks that i don't like: No mouse hover move the volume faders, now you have to click. The faders are no asymmetrical linked. I mean: in old drivers when you put one fader in -6db and the other in -3db if you move the linked faders they move and still have the same distance, say -10db and - 7db respectively. These two previous things are in detriment of the workflow, sadly. I don't understand why you did it.. Other bad things: No signal output monitoring with db indicators and overflow. Too big panel. I Iike the idea of having all-in-one panel, but it is too big anyway. Maybe you can use 3 pages or some. -- I stick with the v1.23.04 driver. Is the best for me. I've tried the v1.23.07 but it give me a BSOD.., like the drivers of the old days.. Thanks.
