Infrasonic Quartet latest drivers constant CPU usage
I am sending this message to inform users and any Infrasonic devs or staff about the constant 23-30% CPU usage on one core I have experienced with the latest drivers from this site in my system. This causes poor performance and constant drop outs when recording in Sonar 8 Producer. I have tried v1.23.04, v1.23.01, v1.19 & 1.14 so far and found all of them cause the CPU usage issue. Using the drivers which came with my card v1.07 work fine. There is a noticeable difference in the drivers installed in device manager when comparing 1.23.xx drivers to 1.07 1.23.xx drivers install one QUARTET driver while 1.07 installs one QUARTET Bus and one WDM driver. This could possibly be a compatibility issue with my system and the latest drivers from this site as my system is dated. System Specs:- Windows XP Home SP3 32-bit Athlon X2 4800+ 939 socket Foxconn Winfast NF4SK8AA-8EKRS 2x1GB Patriot DDR400 Low Latency Kit ATi HD4850 512mb 1TB WD Black & 320GB WD HDDs Hitachi CD/DVD Writer Enermax 600W Noisetaker |
