![]() I have a problem with Quartet Sound Card. My system info is here http://megaarena.eu/sysinfo.txt My system uses ASUS P7P55D-E Deluxe motherboard with Intel Core i5 760. At the moment, when I made sysinfo file, MEMORY REMAP feature was off (I have 8 Gb installed in my system, but when memory remap is off i can use only 3.5 Gb memory. It's normal...). At this setting the sound card works FINE. But if I turn memory remap feature on to use all 8 Gb memory, the problems begin with Quartet sound card. This problems are: - The card cannot CORRECTLY record sound from line in (there is just silence or annoying digital buzzing on recorded timeline, like on ZX Spectrum PCs). - There are different cracks, clicks and noises when I play any sound. - Sometimes BSOD is too.. I am realy disappointed. I have tried all drivers beginning from 1.23.04 and newer. The same result with all drivers. |

Dear Armin, Thank you for contacting us and for the sys report. Please move Quartet to the 2nd PCI slot, since it is sharing its IRQ now with the worst device it ever could, the graphics card: http://simsaudio.co.kr/support/irq.png Also in case you don't need the secondary LAN port, please disable it in the BIOS. I hope this helps and I'm looking forward to your feedback. Thank you. Best Regards, SIMS Corp. |

¡¶Re¡·Balint ´Ô , Hello, Today I tried to change the PCI slot from PCI 1 to PCI 2. But nothnig changed. The Same problem is still present. I turned off the secod LAN adapter in BIOS too. Nothing help.. Maybe it is a sound card driver problem and it(driver) just cannot work with RAM memory more than 4 Gb? |

And sorry, I forgot to say one thing. When I use ASIO - there is no problems with sound input, and all works fine, I can record the sound, and listen to it without any glitches, but if I use usual method to record the sound - I have problems described in the first post. All's good, but not all programs support ASIO... |
