1.25.04 small bug
Hello, Balint. I downloaded 1.25.04 driver. If on 1.25.02 driver, I changed Latency values, then WDM sound programs plays with distortion, except 2048 value, It does not sound at all (see previous support tickets post). Now on 1.25.04 driver all works fine, except 2048 value again, It plays with distortion. This bug show itself when choose DirectSound in WDM program. Many programs have DirectSound value by default. And about monitoring Input level, for example when i connect guitar or microphone, and it clipping signal, then I reduce Input level faders, but monitoring not react, It's still show clipping signal, even if Mute button pressed. It's uncomfortable, monitor Input level not react to changes Input level faders.  I hope now Balint understood me. If it's possible, make this function. I think many owners of Quartet will agree with me. (IF AGREE, WRITE HERE) Thanks. |

Dear Alex, Thank you for your valued feedback. Unfortunately I can confirm the buffer issues, it will be fixed by the next driver update. Once it's released, I'll let you know as soon as possible. Regarding the input level monitoring, this change has been applied by purpose. This way its behavior is similar to professional recording gear, in which the maximal input level is set by the gain control and the fader is changing the volume only. In case you would want to move the volume fader to the maximal 0 dB, you'll know in advance, if it would have resulted clipping. Thank you for your understanding. Best Regards, SIMS Corp. |
