![]() Hello, I 'd like to know how can I connect Blow5D speakers, with my tascam us122mkII soundcard. The soundcard has 2 RCA line outs (left and right). Shall I connect it to the analog input of the speakers using an adaptor, or to the digital coaxial input of Blow5D? Also, is it possible to connect my LG infinia TV to the speakers by some way?

Dear Geo, Thank you for contacting us. Indeed Tascam US-122MKII is equipped with unbalanced analog RCA outputs only, hence it cannot be connected to the digital coaxial input of Blow5D. 2 RCA - RCA or 2 RCA - mono TS 1/4" jack cables are the right solution. Consumer TVs have got unbalanced stereo outputs usually, therefore it could be connected to Blow5D instead of your soundcard. In case your TV has a coaxial digital output, which is very rare compared to the optical outputs, then both the TV and soundcard could be connected at the same time without quality loss. However please avoid connecting two separate signal sources to the RCA and TRS jack inputs of Blow5D at the same time. Alternatively I would recommend to connect the TV to the soundcard which is connected to the speakers at all times. I hope this helps. Should you have any further questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact us again. Thank you. Best Regards, SIMS Corp. |
