Hello, I seem to be unable to set up the FREE Mixer to enable mic recording in Sonar. I connect the mic (it's a dynamic mic) to Input 1/2 and click the MIC button. I can hear the sound coming from the mic alright. In Sonar, when I select ASIO Quartet In 1/2 as input, I can hear the sound as well. However, when I try to record, it's just a straight line and no sound is heard after I play back what I had tried to record. In other words, Sonar seems to recognize the mic but it can't catch sound from it. I included the link to the screenshot of the FREE Mixer setup that I currently use which works perfectly fine for playing back music. I believe this is the new user interface, that's why I can't use previous advice on rerouting signals. Thanks in advance, Simon |

Dear Simon, Thank you for contacting us. Please, accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you may have experienced in respect to this issue and especially the late response. Unfortunately the attached screenshot is not available at the filehost anymore ("Sorry, the file you requested is not available"). Generally speaking, if the microphone is connected to IN 1/2 and HW IN 1/2 is connected to ASIO IN 1/2 in FREE MIXER, while recording is enabled in Sonar, it should give you the desired result. Please, do not hesitate to contact us again should you have any further questions or comments. Thank you. Best Regards, SIMS Corp. |
