Windows Volume Control
Hi,

Since I've installed the Quartet, the windows volume control doesn't affect the volume going through either output.  This sort-of makes sense, but I was wondering if there was a way to enable this behavior?

thanks,
Chester

EDIT:

I'm not actually sure how to reply using this webpage's interface, so forgive the followup-in-edit.

Indeed, I would like to use it for a multimedia keyboard, for example: while playing a video game or a movie.  Do you have a workaround for this?

Thanks again!

Dear Chester,

Thank you for contacting us.
That's correct, Quartet is working independently from built-in Windows sound mixer due to FREE MIXER and its features.
Unfortunately it is not possible to enable it, this is usually a problem for multimedia keyboard users only.
What do you need the windows volume controller for? There might be a workaround, which I could suggest to you.
I'm looking forward to your feedback.
Thank you.

Best Regards,

Hi,
I have even disabled the on-board RealTek and defined Quartet as standard device, and the sound e.g. watching movie DVDs via Quartec output is fine, and of course, it would make perfect sense to be able to adjust the volume via win volume control (resp. the designated buttons of the keyboard).
Regards,
CF

Dear Admin,
I have the same problem as Chester under Win7. I'm interested in the suggested workaround too. Please describe the details.

Thanks
Markus

Hello! Please, make a global hotkeys? for example - Ctrl + Alt + F11 for "Volume Down", Ctrl + Alt + F12 for "Volume Up".
