IS IRQ problems
Hi All. I'm looking for solution of IRQ-conflicts. My quartet does not work properly until all devices with the same IRQ would be turned off. Otherwise sound card cause permanent cpu usage. It happens on my first x86 xp sp3 system. I tried w7 x64 too, but after installing all w7 updates (but I'm not sure that the card was working properly before installing updates) sound card causes delays during any other system activity (scrolling web pages for example). It's interesting that this problem occurs only after first start of the system(powering on my PC), if PC reboots card works properly. But in this case (in case of using w7) disabling "same-IRQ" devices does not help. I'm interested in devs answers. It's a big problem and other users face with it (according to russian quart forums). I believe that the root causes of the other two support tickets as well connected with the IRQ-problem. I can prowide any other information or tests. my config q9550 p5k-e wi/fi update: I've wrote my post from XP system, and now booted in w7 and there is no sound delays without rebooting. So for proper work in w7 I need to boot in any system and then boot in w7 =/ |
