Quartet no input signal with cheap headset mic
Dear Support Team! When i'm try to use the Quartet with a cheap headset mic, there is no input signal at the Line 1/2 Input. In the Mixer I've set the "Mic" option, without +48V Phantom power. I've doesn't changed the jumper on the card. Mainly i'm use the Line 3/4 Input with a guitar, and it works well, as the outputs too. Windows 7, Asrock 870 Extreme3 motherboard, 1,24 Quartet driver. Any suggestion? thank you Zoltan

I have seen such behaviour with this card. I think it is because this card just listens your mic, and for example mic input from motherboard has some sort of phantom power (3Volts or something). I don't remember exact polarity and voltage. You can measure this value by yourself or try to find it on web. And then make small cirquit with resistor capacitor and two 1.5V batteries. Also don't try 48V on cheap headset mic. |
