Good afternoon: I appeal to you to make a query: I have a desktop PC, Windows 7 operating system, and a sound card Infrasonic Quartet 4x4. Why Windows (or Infrasonic Free Mixer) does not recognize each audio output independently? I need it is to route different applications to different audio channels. Example: Assuming 2-channel stereo output in Infrasonic quartet4x4: channel 1/2 and channel 3/4. I wish I could send "Winamp" and "Windows Media Player" to channel 1/2; and send the "Mozilla Firefox audio" and "VLC audio" to channel 3/4, for example. Infrasonic Free Mixer sends all audio coming from windows as "WDM Output" to channel 1/2 AND channel 3/4. It is unable to discriminate between different applications, or discriminate 2-channel stereo. Is there any solution to achieve the goal? Thank you! Regards. Raul. |

Because it's WDM. This just works if the software you want on differnt channels can use ASIO instead of WDM. then you can set the I/O directly in the settings of these softwares. | |
