Minor prob: register tray icon fail
For a very long time as my Windows XP x64 system boots up, the Amon driver and interface load, but 99/100 times an error occurs "Register tray icon fail" and the Amon interface icon does not appear on the task bar. If I shut down CTLAMON.exe manually and start it again, the error does not occur and the icon appears. None of this has any effect on the drivers or the interface which load properly and are running in the background. There must be some contention with some system procedure somewhere during boot. I don't want to spend time trying to diagnose such a minor problem which probably has a very complex and deeply rooted cause. Have you ever heard of this and, if so, could you point me toward, if not a solution, at least a place I can start working. I don't think there is any easy way to arrange the boot order of devices and, as I said, this problem is so minor that it is not worth troubling over if the solution is very tedious and troublesome. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
