![]() Hello, Balint. From time to time, at startup computer, I have cracks and clicks when playing any sounds (even the sound of start Windows 7), and continues till reboot OS. This bug appeared since 1.23.01 driver and is still not fixed. At 1.20.03 and more earlier drivers, this bug doesn't appear. It has each owner of Quartet (trust me). I think it's last bug, please fix it and I and other Owners will happy. Best Regards, Alex. |

Exact the same problem, but on Windows XP SP3 x86! I tried drivers from v1.23.04 to latest v1.25.04 - nothing changed about this clicks&cracks bug. It's really annoying to often reboot the system just because of this cracks. I really hope this bug will be fixed with the next drivers update!

I had these problems, too. But I found a solution: do not to use latency < 255 while reboot. Sometimes I forgot this rule and get crackles after reboot. This bug really took me. Also I cannot use new drivers because they are very buggy. I got blue screen reboot very often. So I use stable 1.23.04 and don't recommend use new drivers. Also I had the support request to fix a bug with microphone recording. But I get no solution from the support service. Only apologize and regret... So I cannot use microphone input.

Same "click-crack" bug for me! I'm actually so tired of these "unstable" reboots. I have WinXP SP3 32bit and Win7 SP1 32bit. Integrated audio is disabled via motherboard's BIOS. Balint, if you need any concrete tech specs of my PC, just ask about it :) Please, don't ignore this bug!

Same bug. Additional note: nothing helps to solve this problem (changing latency in quartet control panel, changing sample rate, changing free mixer settings, nothing...), except "successful" system reboot without click-cracks. Weird.

Windows 8 have same problem with cracks and clicks but I did not restart the computer, you need to disable and enable infrasonic quartet (audio driver) in device manager. v1.25.04 Windows 8 x64 Integrated audio is disabled in BIOS. |

I have the same problem. I wrote about it 2012.02.02 in ticket ''clicks and wheezes with new drivers'' and according to ''Hit'' this problem is VERY widespread. New driver comes with new bugs and do not resolve the older ones. Please take some action.

I have this bug starting from 1.24.04. Every later version succeeds this bug as well, including 1.25.04.

I've been having this issue as well since I started using my quartet about a year ago, but lately with win8 and the new drivers it is getting worst, some times a reboot just doesn't solve it, and i need to shutdown the pc for a couple of minutes. I've tried other workarounds posted here, but none of them seems to work for me. Please fix this issue, I love my quartet when it behaves like it should!!, sadly that doesn't happened very often lately.

Hello, Balint! I want to illustrate what is happening with the "unsuccessful" boot, as I wrote in my first post. I have Windows XP SP3 32bit, driver v1.25.04. I've recorded on my Cowon J3 a usual mp3-track playing with Winamp: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/379104/Quartet/ClicksCracks.mp3 . There is no way to record clicks/cracks through the windows stereo mixer - the recorded file is obtained without clicks. Massive clicks on the record comes when I move my mouse cursor over the screen. Here are the Quartet panel setup: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/379104/Quartet/QuartetPanel1.jpg , https://dl.dropbox.com/u/379104/Quartet/QuartetPanel2.jpg Here are two detailed reports of my PC to have an understanding of my hardware (and not just it): first one is from Windows DxDiag - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/379104/Quartet/Report-DxDiag.txt , second one, much detailed, is from AIDA64 software - https://dl.dropbox.com/u/379104/Quartet/Report-AIDA64.txt I really hope these helps to solve the problem! |

UPD. I installed the old driver v1.20.03 and there is no clicks-cracks issue! I tried to catch this bug, constantly rebooting my system, but the issue didn't appear. So, my thoughts that it's software problem, not kind of hardware incompatibilities or something with hardware. My PC specs are in my last post above, if needed. |

Anything new about it? I am also still suffering under this problem. Think about kicking out the Quartet, if there is no solution ahead. Anyone with news?

Balint! Where the new driver. With this attitude to customers, you lose them.

¡¶Re¡·Balint ´Ô , So what is going on? Still 1/2 year has passed by. What happened? I think nothing. Is there at least a workaround? |

I think this product ist absolutely dead. I'll drop mine next week and go for something else. Nearly a year passed by! No reaction. Quote Balint:" I'll keep you updated". That's it for me.
